I believe the biggest problem in US education today is student behavior and discipline. If you listen to US teachers complain, that is the #1 source of stress, and the #1 reason why teachers leave the profession. And the #1 reason why top professionals would not want to teach in the US schools. I like to know if the problem is similar world wide.

I do know that teachers recruited from other countries like Philippines and India to teach in the US have the hardest time adjusting to the student behavior.

In the eastern culture, how a child behave is a reflection of the family, and that is the source of pride or shame. Apparently that type of pride means little in the US and the eastern teachers have a hard time adjusting.

If the US students behave like those in China or Mexico, teaching might actually be a pretty good profession in the US.
