I am thinking about buying Earth Shoes. This brand claims to make shoes with a recessed sole, which supposedly corrects your stride to keep your spine straight and your achilles tendon taut and long -- as opposed to a short achilles tendon and curved spine with normal shoes.
The shoes are pretty expensive -- around $110 on average. Has anyone had experience wearing these shoes for an extended amount of time, and can they share pros and cons?

I have heard that wearing Earth Shoes for an extended period of time (like walking around in New York City all day, or being a nurse or massage therapist) can really hurt your back....does anyone have any information supporting this info, or news to the contrary?
