You actually missed some of that quote, the entire phrase as
"Compared to watching my alcoholic family fighting over the last bottle of scotch, I don't really find I Love Lucy to be that funny"
Taken in this context, it has a little more meaning behind it.

LOL! If that's true, he got away with it because women found him attractive and men found him to be a mans man. He could get away with pretty much anything. BTW I love Lucy is one of the funniest shows ever......

its kinda true, After a while "I love lucy" becomes a bit boring, and annoying. Anyways it was just starting then, so there were probably a bunch of people who didnt really like the show!
