How would I be able to obtain a free or very low cost divorce? Also how quickly would the process take?

No divorce is free. Very low cost if you do the paperwork yourself. That's what I did. And it took about 7 months. There is a 6 month cooling off period that has to happen. Then at then end of it the divorce is final. Go to your local courthouse or consult a paralegal for the process. Good luck.

If you and your ex agree on every detail of the divorce you should be able to get a divorce for a low cost, but not for free, there are still fees. It should only take a week to a month depending on how long it takes the court to process your paperwork.

Depends. What state do you live in? Would he contest the divorce? Would there be custody issues? In NC, you have to be separated for 1 year, but you can send a lawyer $100 and not have to go to court.

I've never heard of a free divorce. As for how long it takes; that depends on what state you live in. Sorry!
