There is a black cable contained in the box for your Xbox 360, the connectors on either end of it are identical, but you can see the wires inside are connected to each RJ45 differently, this is an Ethernet cable, and you can directly connect your 360 to your Router, all Xbox360's have silver Xbox live membership automatically, it's free, but you can't play multiplayer games, you can however download updates for your games.
You cannot choose your updates, if your 360 is connected to the Internet, it will update if there is an update.
As a rule of thumb, if you can buy a 360 version of your XBox game 9/10 times it won't work.
Examples:
Tomb Raider: Legend
Need For Speed: Most Wanted
This is probably to stop people buying the XBox version cheaper and putting it into their 360
PS: Ignore the person who said you should have got a PS3... You'd have cash in your hand and be waiting till 2008. Worst of all... No Halo, Gears Of War, Chromehounds or Saints Row

Hello,
you can find a free download of Need for Speed Most Wanted here: http://bit.ly/1uSEZrS
You can drive an Aston Martin v12 Vantage, a Porsche 911 Turbo S or a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, among other vehicles, and try to complete every race event in the best possible position
I love it!

Yes you can connect it. It would be easiest if you have a wireless router than you could just bye the wireless reciever thingy, then you just have to set it up and your good.
If you did that and had an Xbox Live subscription you could play games online.
in my opinion you should have saved your money for a PlayStation Three.
