With the federal government as powerfull as it is today, it seems that Jefferson was right on the money, but back then did we need Hamilton's influence to make our nation as powerfull as it is? Let me know and maby i'll change my mind on the issue

Love the question.....where would we be if Jefferson had won out? Maybe he did win in the South pre-Civil War....Is that the life we would have been heading for...wealthy plantation owners...

Couldn't we have had less of Hamilton, more of Jefferson...would that have been a better mix?

Although Thomas Jefferson was an extremely powerful, intelligent and wise man he could not have done everything without others help. Hamilton was a smart Virginian who was very helpful to Jefferson in accomplishing things he pursued.

Hamilton. Jefferson's agrarian policies would have turned us into a third-world country--not to mention the immoral slave system which, despite his claims of opposing it, he never really let go of.
