Dorothy and Blanche's uncle started off pretending that they were in love. Blanche's uncle actually ended up falling in love with dorothy and asked her to marry him. She said yes. With Dorothy moving out, the others felt things wouln't be the same in the house without her so they decided to sell the house and combine their remining funds and purchase a hotel located near the beach. The day of the wedding Dorothy gets into the limo and the driver goes the wrong way. she then realizes it's Stan and he's telling her that he still loves her. She admitts she still loves him but that she needs to move on with her life. Stan gets her to the church and she marries Blanche's uncle and moves away. Sophia, Blanche and Rose move into the hotel believeing that it's going to be easy. They soon realize that they don't have very many employees and have to do the work themselves. RE:
What happened in the final episode of Golden Girls?
I love that show, but I've never seen the last episode. I heard that Dorothy remarries Stan? Wasn't Stan a total sleaze? How did Dorothy do a 180 on her view of Stan? Were there any previous episodes building up to this one? Also if you could tell me whether you like the episode or...

Here's a summary of the last episode, called "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Pt.2."
Dorothy accepts Lucas' proposal. The two plan to tye the knot two months later and on the way to the chapel, Dorothy takes a limo. However, this limo is driven by none other than Stanley Zbornak. The two share a rather comical but nonetheless touching moment together before arriving at the chapel. Down the aisle, along with Sophia, the girls think to themselves about the beautiful friendship they shared. Rose, Blanche and Sophia decide that the three of them should not depart and allow Dorothy on her way to Atlanta but she doesn't leave without sharing some final words with the girls.
Awesome show...

Dorothy married Blanche's Uncle Lucas, who she had set up Dorothy with on a blind date. Dorothy moved to Hollingsworth mansion in Georgia, and left her Ma with the other girls. The next year saw the three moving to the beach and running a hotel called 'Golden Palace'; Dorothy visited them there once or twice.
It lasted just one season.

Now I can't really remember either, but from watching Lifetime I think one of them does marry and move on, maybe Blanche, and then the other three go on to open a hotel, actually a show called Golden Palace.

Dorothy married Blanche's uncle. Stan drove her to the wedding in a limo.
