I also like bands like Cursive, Sonic Youth, and Arcade Fire. I haven't bought a CD or song that sounds fresh and upbeat, and I would love to find something like that, particularly indie rock or alternative.

The Klaxons are a very original, fresh, upbeat new British band. Search on youtube for 'the klaxons gravitys rainbow'. Should be exactly what you're looking for.

you definatly have my music taste.
panic at the disco...they're amazing.

lets see..motion city soundtrack is really good. "the future freaks me out" and "everything is alright" are two good songs.
