im going to go out for the basket ball team but i dont know much about it do i stand a chance againsed the other girls im very athelitic but i think my lack of knowledge of the sport might make me get cut what do yous think do i stand a chance?

I tried out for my schools basketball team. you know you stand a chance if your hearts really in the game. if you love basketball and try your best you stand a chance

Practice a couple times a week on dribbling, laying up, and taking jump shots on a basket ball court
-Basketball is one of the most competitive sports out there, and if you practice, you might stand a chance, but if you have a determination(love) for the game, i think being cut from the team doesnt stand a chance for that player

I'm not sure why you would try out if you don't know much about it?
But what I would recommend is to make sure you play hard on defense and rebound on both ends of the floor....this is the best way to make an impact if you don't have a lot of offensive skills.

no offense but yah if you don't know the sport then it will be VERY HARD but if you REALLY want to then watch a TON of NBA games and NCAA games and do some research on it from people who were on the team last year or google.com

Do as much as you can and try your hardest. And HUSTLE, coaches like players that can be ready quick.
