Hello,
I am the webmaster for a non-profit cultural organization.
My site: http://www.mngujaratisamaj.org

Some other similar, yet unaffiliated, organization in Australia has copied my entire site (including words and graphics). What can I do to stop this? Am I protected by copyright laws if my organizaiton is based in the United States? Please help
The other web site is: http://www.gujaratisamaj.com.au

PLEASE HELP STOP THIS ILLEGAL CRIME.

I know that is frustrating, and the evidence does support that they copied you, the resemblence is striking. However, you should be happy that someone else is embracing this cause as you are. You are non-profit, so I can assume that you do this out of a passion for it, not financial gain...so I would assume that you would be pleased. How will it hurt you if someone from the other side of the world is trying to raise awareness?

Contact the site and explain your grievance. I looked at both sites and they are definitely similar. But I have a question. If you have this site for this certain group, should you not be flattered and grateful that there are others in other countries that share your views? Perhaps you two can collaberate. Just a thought. As far as unlawful I have no clue as to what to do about it.

If you copyrighted the original website, then you can sue. However it appears that you haven't - no copyright message on your homepage, if this is true then you can do nothing.

You should seek legal advice from a lawyer.
