Why is it important to consider aesthetics when understanding the character of a nation and its people?

Aesthetics tells you something about what cultures prioritize. Take for example, if certain cultures had any sense of aesthetics, all their males would be circumcized.

Another example being dental care.

I wonder about famous celebrities that make millions, but have really nasty "grilles".......can't they afford some nice dental work?

Maybe they would rather spend their money on rims....

Never heard that before. I guess it is a matter of judging people by the art they hang around. ;-)
