This can be caused by one of two things, you could have a very sensitive optical mouse that is picking up vibration as people walk by the computer, or you could have what is referred to as a zombie virus on your computer. Try turning off your optical mouse before your computer is in the hibernation see if it wakes up all by itself. If it still wakes itself out of hibernation, make sure you run a virus scan. A zombie virus is a type of spy ware virus. It allows other people on the Internet to remote access your computer and use it to do anything they like send out spam e-mails or cyber attacking other people server's

I think it has to do with the keyboard driver, I have the same problem with my hp with similar specs. Hp and Compaq are owned by the same company, so I can see this possible. Do a search on the internet, you might find some answers.

The error message i received was "The multimedia keyboard is preventing the computer from entering hibernation". I do not know how to fix it, but it is probably your keyboard.

How old is it? if it's a little older like the Win ME's or 2000's they go in and out of hibernation. It's just what they do. There's nothing wrong with your computer, and there is no need (or way) to change. Also yes they keyboard or mouse could have been bumped.
