The disadvantage to transatlantic slave trade is man's inhumanity to man, the cruelty issue, the uncaring and harden hearts to peoples needs and wants, the hardships on families losing their mothers and fathers, the fear of leaving your homeland, the mismanagement of human life, the health issues involved in transporting human in disgusting filthy, dirt environment in the belly of the ships,! The lost of life, the hardened hearts, the hardship taken on the bodies, the attack on the cultures involved, the terror of being captured, the disrespect for life and limb are only a few of the cruelties and disadvantages of slave trade.

Well, the voyages from Africa to the U.S. was a long one. The slaves were kept in very unsanitary conditions and many many of them died on the trip. Many were too sick when they arrived to be worth anything.

Also diseases were exchanged between continents and those who were foreign to the disease was not able to fight it off so there was a lot of death.

But really, slavery sucked so everything about it was sucky.
