It'll be easier to make cuban people see the outside world and how democracy works. As Castro is sick it will be a big step to be inside the country before the big change arrives. What do you guys think about it?We have to put some pressure on this government to lift this stupid embargo. Two weeks ago 183 countries voted against this US embargo and only 4 countries voted in favor. Are we right and 183 countries are wrong?.

2 reasons we should. 1) Today they came out and said Castro had between 3 and 8 months to live, and definatly not through 07. If we lifted the embargo, with Castro's death, I think the country may revolt and over throw the communist government, bringing a democracy. 2) Those cigars are really good

I consider he's going to make appear himself as though he used to be seeking to elevate the Embargo however secretly he may not elevate it. The Embargo quite often will likely be lifted while the CIA thinks that the Cubans look to be crumbling or anything like that. But I do not consider this will likely occur, even if the Castro brothers die, it may not occur. Given the occasions of geopolitics/the complete Latin America. If it had been lifted , this might be profitable for Cuban financial system. This might be a nice support, U.S.Americans wouldn't have any uncomfortable side effects whatever.

Yes, I do believe that the embargo is not working. It's not hurting those in power in Cuba and it is hurting the people themselves. I also agree that the Cubans are cut off from the US and, therefore, any kind of negative propaganda about the US and it's people will be believed because we cannot go there to counter it. Cuba Americans, though, are still very powerful and are very much against the lifting of the embargo so I don't see it changing in the near future.

Lifting the embargo will not let Cubans see the outside world. US television stations are blocked from their TVs. Cuba is doing that, not us. I really don't give a rats *** what other countries think, when it comes to the US and our policies. If the Cubans and the rest of the world want Cuba to be democratic then let them do something about it. I really am not concerned in the least with Cuba. We are taking in all their refugees and that's enough for me.

I agree that the embargo should be lifted, we trade w/ other communist countries such as China...we just look hypocritical to the rest of the world. I just don't understand what purpose it serves.

ok, yes, i do think lifting the embargo would basically make the cuban government collapse. however, the chances of that actually happening are so low its incredible. america hates communism. thats the only way to look at it. anybody that isnt exactly like us, or saudi arabia, is on our sh*t list, so you dont even need to worry about lifting the embargo.

NO. Unlike some other nations with policies offensive to the US, Cuba is a mere 90 miles from our shores.

I am inclined to agree with you. We seem to be a bit two faced when it comes to communism. We boycott Cuba and deal with China, N Korea, Vietnam, and most South American governments. But we can't seem to deal with a little Island country 90 miles from our southern border.

We are a sonerign nation. No other countries do or should have the right to set our policies. I see no reason to change.

Only the top 1% of the country would see a change, you don't seem to understand communist economics.
