Zud is the best cleaner for rust, you can find it in the cleaning section of your grocery or discount store. Barkeepers friend also works well, and Soft Scrub with bleach is a good choice.

Barkeepers Friend. It's the actual name of a powdered cleaning agent; it comes in a tall gold canister. You can find it at Wal-Mart on the cleaning products aisle. The stuff works great! I recommend wearing latex gloves when using it though, it can irritate sensitive skin.

In our bathroom we use a bathtub block......... this is a pumice stone style cleanser related to the dimensions of a bar of cleansing soap, it scrubs the rust stains top off. that's purely a pair money at maximum hardware style shops.

You can use commercial (chemical) cleaners, but I'd always suggest using baking soda (also called 'Bi-carb Soda') and a scrubbing brush, as it's not harmful to the environment or you.
Good luck! :)
