I'd rather someone was honest with me about what they think. What kind of friend is it that tells you a lie rather than being honest?

Always prefer to hear the truth even if I don't like it at least I know where I stand and can maybe do something about it.

It is always said that the truth shall set you free and in most cases this has been proved to be correct. However, sometimes you are forced not to reveal the truth as in such cases whereby this may jeopardise another person's health. For example, if a family has been involved in a fatal accident and some members don't make it, it would be folly for one to inform the surviving but critically ill member(s) about this as the news might be disastrous to their health.
Lies are not healthy and they tend to cause unwarranted discord to the receipients as is the case in love affairs, family relationships and in politics.

Always the truth. Give me the good, the bad, or the ugly. Just don't lie to me or tell me what you think I want to hear. There is nothing worse than finding out that you've been lied to or deceived.

I would rather hear the truth even if it hurts but I would tell a lie to protect someone else from feeling hurt.

I prefer the truth. You will get it sooner or later, good or bad. It always comes out. Get it, deal with it and move on.

Yeah, even if it's not good news i always prefer people to be honest. If it's bad it always comes out in the wash, so may as well be upfront.

Yes I like the truth, but I understand why... on some occasions, it can not be told.
I don't lie.... ever, but I do withold the truth when such is required.
What I dont like is opinion.
