Can anyone think of some things that I could make a list of for "things to do before I die"? I am only young (16 to be exact) but I need some things to put down on a list, so I don't just give up altogether. I am not depressed, so don't just say "speak to others around you and solve your problems", I am just bored of life itself. So I would be gratefull for any ideas?

Again, I would like to point out that I want IDEAS, not "only you know them". Not all of them will be used, the key word, again, was IDEAS. P.S. thank you for the answer about the continents, its the only suggestion I havn't done, 3 to go.

breathe...for yourself and for others.
.........................
you didn't specify whether you wanted ideas about things you could do for fun, or things you might do to make life more meaningful both for yourself and for others..

there a lot of fun things you can do for yourself; the suggestions offered by others here should last you more than a lifetime. but it's not enough that you find things to do for yourself, even if only to alleviate boredom. there's always a reward intrinsic in doing things for a purpose, a purpose higher than yourself. often, you'd find that by doing something for others, and it's a blessing when it's something you'd love to do and have fun doing anyway.

just a thought.

At 16 your life is just beginning. You can't possibly be bored there is so much out there for you. In a couple of years, you will be on your own and can do anything you want. If I was 16 again, I would work harder in school and go to college. Then start work on a great career, travel the world, and then start thinking about marriage and family. Right now, my advice is to really put a lot of effort into your school work. I know it is lame but you will be thankful for the opportunities that open up for you from the hard work.

Things that have made my life more fulfilling
1. Learn to draw (teaches you to see things that go unnoticed by most people)
2. Learn an instrument ( I suggest piano, I just picked it up and I love it's sound, I have been playing guitar for a long time and what I have learned is there are way to many people who try to play the guitar. It's cheaper and there are ways to get around learning alot of theory so that is why I don't recommend it.)
3. Get a tatoo (it's amazing how my tatoo's have evolved with me in there symbolic meaning. I don't think people who have pointless tatoo's get this. Get something deeply personal and symbolic and you will notice it's meaning change with time.)
4. Live with and friend ( you will be able to really begin to understand yourself better when you analyze your friends and family.)
5.develop a relationship with someone on a emotional and spiritual level.

Go sky diving, learn to paint, go fishing with your best friend and tell the truth about what ever it is your not telling the ones close to you. Get everything off your chest by listing them all down and go tell these people how you feel. Very important before anyone dies, get it out.
Set up you favorite music to be played at your wedding, funeral. make sure you have a bank account set up to pay all those expences so it's not left for someone dear to you to end up paying. That would be bad to leave the bills unpaid when you die.
So I guess a savings for death should be considered. Only allow your most trusted in charge of that when you die so be careful who has rights to the money left behind. Now all that is left is to remember YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU, so live life to its fullest before you die. Give to those less fortunate, every day try to make someone happy.

Give thanks to all you do have.

Finish school. Know what you want to do, career-wise. Take a year off to travel, pick fruit/whatever, to get an income. Sky-dive. Break a world record. Learn to cook. Write a book, even if it's your life-story and you don't get published, it's a record to pass on to any kids you might have. Start a diary now.Have a happy and long life.
