i do not think you should pay him! i mean he set your house on fire!!!! if you set someones' house on fire, would want to make the owner still pay you for distroying their house? will that make you feel good if you have to pay someone for satting your house on fire? if anything happens like that again, just put yourself in their sheos and ask yourself, (example for this situation) "will i feel good making someone pay me for making them loose their home???" than you will know that you have to do the right thing, even if the right thing makes you, or anyone ealse for that matter, sad. if you are sad, just remeber, you are doing the correct thing to do!

No,In fact he should be paying you for damages to your home,
and if your house is on fire,then where are you typing from?
If he doesn't pay you,call the police to charge him for arson.
