Since it is fall right now you can collect leaves and paste them in the shape of a tree on a half piece of poster board. Give each student strips of paper to write their family names on and then help them paste in place on their "real trees". You will have to help out by drawing the shape of the tree on the poster so the leaves get pasted in the right places. Also, each student should have the hard copy in front of them so they don't get confused while pasting their families in place.

I would search on line for Family Trees for kids. There is a plethora of fun ideas. Check out a scrapbook store for ideas. You don't have to buy anything, just get the ideas. How about tracing their hands, that is used for the top of the tree, and then they draw the trunk themselves. They can write names off the tips of fingers. The smaller the project the better. A whole list of people will just confuse them. :) Have fun!

When I taught in a preschool we had a tree shape on paper and had the kids press their thumbs into red ink and make "apples" on the tree for each person in the family. Later we drew on stems, the kids used tissue paper for leaves, and wrote the names of the family members over the thumb prints. The kids had fun and the parents loved it.

there is an previous asserting, "The acorn does not fall some distance from the tree," whilst describing attributes of the parent which look in a newborn. Acorns, like chestnuts and hazelnuts, are extremely liked in Italy. So why not make every physique on your tree an acorn? That way you additionally can instruct a squirrel on the backside of the tree finding out on up all the nuts who shake out of your relatives tree ;-)
