I'm his girlfriend and honestly suck at figuring out what to get guys. He plays soccer, volleyball... Like the video game World of Warcraft. Um, not big on clothes, doesn't need a watch, has stuff for his car. He's not picky, but I'm just a loser and don't know. Plus, I don't want to get him a gift card, because it seems too impersonal. I know it's not Christmas time yet, but I like getting a head start.

Call his mom and ask what he's been hinting about. She will help and be happy you included her and she will make sure it's not to expensive.

Well I think if her knew how concerned and detailed you were about something for his birthday he'd be so impressed right there!
but since your sixteen your probobaly not looking for anything highly expensive.
Get him a new video game or a new C.D. or D.V.D. Then take him out to dinner or a movie he'll like spending time with his GF on his birthday. It's sweet and simple.

16 and sweet, you are NOT a loser!

He would love a steering wheel cover. every time he touches it, he will think of you!

Car stereo equipment is always great for us guys at 17, and what's wrong with a safety kit for the trunk, or a new set of jumper cables- so he can help other people. This is a gift that keeps him giving!

Remember- you're sweet for caring for him. You can't be a loser!

go shopping with him one day on the premise that you need something for another relative and see what he looks at in the store. the best presents are something you really want but don't have to tell the other person, they figure it out by paying attention to you. and of course the thought does count too!

Well you could get something made for his car with his name engraved on it. you think of stuff he likes then go from there. I know my husband tells me I don't need anything and I see him looking at stuff when we go to the mall and then we talk about it going home and I slip back to the mall and get it for him. So be sneaky and go shopping with him.

Oh man, try getting him a Playstation 3, they come out Nov 20th, and most likely...his folks won't shell out that kind of money for it, so if YOU do...he'll love you for life.

Why don't you ask him? Is it a surprise? If it is, then bring him to a concert or buy him something that means something to both of you or something that both of you will enjoy. he is not picky so why not buy him something that he will always remember.
