a hundred dollars or more... enough to make driving to the voter registration place worthwhile. but even if i changed my party affiliation, it wouldnt mean i couldnt vote for whatever party i wanted, it would just mean i got some extra cash from someone to change. i dont vote by the party anyway.

Nothing ---as hard as it is to believe some people can't be bought.

I have been a democrat - don't want to go back - I first registered to vote as a democrat, I was in the military as a democrat. My falling out with the democrat's platform was long , drawn out and a tortuous demise that ended years (20+)of voting democrat . I then registered as an independent but wasn't happy as I had no real say in issues or the primaries. Now I am happy as a republican , I have my own ideals to live up to - those ideals aren't ran by Washington or a party system just my conscience. As hard as it may be to understand some things are more important than the almight dollar.

I look at the parties from an outsider's perspective and think... hmmmm I want a republican in this office.... and a democrat in this office... wouldn't it be nice if a green party were in charge of agriculture?.... The only reason I'm registered to a party is to vote in the primaries. That's it.

I would change if the Democrats started supporting Republican ideals.

"Ask?" No. And I do not like the way some, like police and other city and state workers are forced to be Democrats because of their jobs. However, if the price was right, I could be bought--maybe--but I wouldn't as hard as I would if I really believed in it.

I am already a Democrat. I believe in the quote by Harry Truman, "If you want to live like a Republican, vote for the Democrats!"

You'd have to put a ******, loaded gun to my head to force me to join either the Repugs or the Dims, something that quite frankly I was expecting to happen if the Repugs had prevailed in last week's election.

Changing from one to the other does not have to involve a change in beliefs, morals, or the way one votes.

I wouldn't. If I switched from any political party to another, it would be because the latter's agenda and platform is in line with mine more then the prior.
