Absolutely Not! The invasion of Iraq should have never happened, the egotistic meddling and greed for more power and money by Bush/Cheney/Rumsfelt decided they have a military force that they want to put to use, to achieve their personal goal.

It is sad that in this time of technical advancements and sophistication the Anglo-American Alliance is behaving like medieval times and they have been doing it for quite a some time With out the fear of being beaten. But this time it also looks they riffled their Feathers with a wrong Bird.

I think the overwhelming majority that did support the invasion of Iraq, including Democrats in congress, shows that in a time of fear, a fear of terrorism and WMDs, that we acted on those fears. It may not necessarily be that we acted on the fear that was wrong, but on Rumsfeld's handling of the situation afterwards

hello there,
not really. I think it would apply to the invasion of afghanistan because the terrorist groups that bombed us on 911 were from there. And also the patriot act. But iraq was invaded for oil...not fear. Think about it...if we invaded iraq because of fear of weapons of mass destruction then why havent we invaded North Korea?? Also north koreas leader is just as terrible as saddam huessein was to his people. So my opinion is no.

We did not invade Iraq out of fear. We invaded Iraq because it has been central to the neo-conservative agenda since the 1980s and 9/11 gave us a chance to justify it to our own people. The fact that our justification was a lie is of no consequence to the neo-cons who promoted it.

No, but let me tell you why.
Iraq was invaded not by fear. They have never been part of the war on terror. Iraq was invaded to "enforce UN resolutions" banning Iraq from having WMDs.

No, the US was forced to enforce the resolutions passed by the UN, in which the UN itself was unable to enforce!!!! It had nothing to do with fear, but enforcement!!!!!

of course it does. we were fearful after 9/11 and politicians exploited that fear to push their own political agendas. businesses exploited it for profit. terrorists exploited it for training. now that we arent that scared anymore, its time to wake up and see that weve been exploited and take down those exploited us.
