I have to make a children's book on the declaration of independence. I know there are 56 men that signed the declaration but don't want to have all 56 in the book. I think I should just put some of the important ones. You can recommened up to 8 of the people who you think are important.

I think, every single one was important, I suggest you research the topic more completely for a more diversified idea of the even the least know men for a true overall prospective for young and old. It is not always best to just focus on the most well known. Sometime the interested is stirred more by little know people.

Pick each one for the type of background they have. First of all it's a children's book...so, making points about the signer that was also a farmer is important, lawyers, business owners, etc...then you can write about how all the other farmers, politicians, lawyers, looked up to them ..
