I stayed at Casa Marina Beach resort in Sosua and loooooooved it. Depends what you're looking for though. This resort is only 3 star I think, but worth way more! All inclusive, great staff, always stuff to do, walk to the beach in Sosua for some fantastic barganing. The room we stayed in wasn't fancy or anything, but always clean. Bring some little treats to leave for the cleaning staff

There are several good options to choose from in the Dominican Republic. I would highly recommend speaking with a professional that can qualify you for the property they feel is best for you.

One property might be perfect for say friends of yours, but yet not for you. Everyone travels different.

So I could list several, but just wouldn't be doing you a favor in doing so. Travel Agents don't just book vacations, we plan them.

Remember to please book in advance and keep it as a package you will save the most money. Also this time of year agents have promo codes they use to get discounts off. I know I have 1 that expires on the 11th and one the end of Nov. Try to take advantage of them, they are worth it if it matches with your trip!

Just fly to Puerto Plata and go to Sosua or Cabarete and stay in any of the nice small privately owned hotels. You will have the opportunity to see a lot of nice places and things (restaurants, beaches, etc) that you may not get to see if you stay in one of those horrible all-inclusives. You will also help a lot of people by patronizing their smaller businesses instead of those AI's that are destroying the local economy.
