I live in the City of Chicago IL, and I have actually seen stars, or rather people who are famous for example, I have danced with Robert Townsend from the t.v series "Parenthood"
and then there was Mr.T and then there was Naughty by Nature, R.Kelly, Ron Isley, Mike Love & The Dizz, they are radio personilities from Chicago IL,
I could keep going because there are alot of famous peoople here from Chicago but the reason why I say this is because I do not think that they are just walking down the street because they will be hurt by those who want a part of them, instead of giving them their personal space, If was someone famous I would always make it my business to figure out a way to enjoy my city one way or another because it can not be fun being famous when you want to live such an normal life..........................
Peace out...................................

I'm born, raised, and still living in Los Angeles.

No, because even though they're famous, they tend to wear disguises (sunglasses, 'normal people' clothes) and go into places that the normal person couldn't afford -- for example, diners that are so fancy they have guards and each meal is like, $200.

Oh yeah, my sister went to New York back in 89 and they went to a bar and she saw Matt Dillon and bartender asked my sister what she wanted to drink and she said I'll have what he's having and he looked over and smiled. Also on the plan ride to New York Bill Cosby was on the same flight and my sister and brother-in-law got a picture with him.

That probably depends on where you are walking. If you are in an area that famous people visit you will see them, if you are in the ghetto part of town you probably won't see them.
P.S: You also have to figure sometimes they may not want to be recognized.

depends on what part of the city youre in, and whether their are any celebrity homes or hot spots/clubs nearby. or good shopping places. most of these are pretty ritzy though, i know i couldnt afford to even walk into some of the places for fear i'd break something...

When I was in New York I saw Gweneth Paltrow. Since she looks just like a friend of mine, I mistook her for my friend. It was hilarious. That doesn't happen to celebrities often.
