Here's what Planned Parenthood says: "Taking the progestin-only pill at the same time each day is essential — if you take it more than three hours past the regular time, you need to use a back up method of birth control for 48 hours after taking the late pill."

So a few hours (less than three) difference isn't going to change things. You're covered. As long as you're close you'll be okay. What you don't want to do is skip all over the clock - breakfast one day, dinner time the next day, then lunch time, then bedtime.

With the mini-dose pills that are common today, the hormone can be gone from your system too long if you miss your regular time by more than a few hours.

Don't worry about not getting your period exactly on Sunday. Different women's bodies will respond differently. You'll start to see the pattern for your body after three months or so.

You won't get it on Sunday, probably.

My period usually starts on Tuesday or Wednesday. There's nothing wrong with that. Think of it this way: if you take a pill and stop all of a sudden, it takes a few days to get out of your system. It's the same with BC. Just because you take the placebo doesn't mean your period will come on the first day.

Relax. Your body may take up to months before settling into the predictictable cycle the pill brings on. The few hours should not make a difference. They mostly tell you the thing about the same time every day to help give you a way to remember to take it.

I got my period ONCE on the off week of pills. for some reason when I do get it, it's on my 2nd week of active pills. Since May I have only had my period 4 times (no Im not pregnant, when I went for my annual checkup I said something to the dr about this and she did a pregnancy test just in case). your body is still adjusting to the hormones.

When I was on birth control, it would usually come on a the following Tuesday. Since I was on the pill for many years, it was very systematic, however I did sometimes get it on a Wednesday or even as late as a Thursday. Once you keep doing this for a few months, you will get to know your schedule.

When I was on the pill, I always started on Monday. I wouldn't sweat a few hours difference.
