Which one of the bill of rights gives you freedom of choice? We do not have total freedom in this country, but it's a lot better than in most other countries.

Yes it should. When people get the figures on how many 'abortions' have been done in a state/country...etc, they don't stop to think that only a quarter of them is actual abortions. The other three quarters are actually from miscarriage, both need the same procedure.
Then a lot of people think that the people getting abortions are only doing it because they couldn't feel bothered using a condom or they are just careless and don't care about what they're doing to their bodies when in actual fact the majority of actual abortions are done because the mother fell pregnant after becoming a rape victim or medical reasons...such as something being terribly wrong with the mother or the fetus.
Yes abortion should be an individuals choice. I wouldn't want to tell a, lets say... 15 year old rape victim 'hey, next time you get raped, make sure he wears a condom!' Would you like to have to be put in that situation or be in the mothers situation? I don't think anyone would. Either way it is a hard and gut renching decision to make. Only one person maybe sometimes even two, can really make it.

Well the problem is that there is conflict about when life begins...you cant murder someone, so if it is decided that life begins at conception then it can not be a choice, but if it is decided that it starts at 3 months gestation then you should have the right to choose to abort.

Freedom of choice has limits because some people don't have good moral judgment. There would also be people having limbs removed or selling there organs for money. Yes that happens already but it would get much worse.

There is a misunderstanding of the concept of freedom. Aborting a fetus means murdering an individual, and even a fetus must have rights.

It is therefore not in the hands of the mother to decide whether to abort or not - the decision to abort should not be considered at all.

Why hate a little baby that has been granted to you from God? What did this baby do you any harm? It deserves to live as much as you deserve to live. Remember, every person who comes to this world comes along with a blessing. He/She will live, and you will.

I personally am dying to adopt a child. I am only 22, but I long to be a father more than longing to have a wife. I am waiting until I get to find my soul mate, but in case I didn't find one until I reach 25, and have by then established a stable lifestyle and career, I will then adopt an orphan or helpless child because fatherhood is the best thing a man can experience. I just wonder why some women would go for abortion.

Freedom of choice always needs to be limited by what is the common good. Obviously no one has the right to commit murder and mayhem. Abortion is controversial in this respect, which is why you are raising the issue. Try this one though, "Should freedom of choice include the right to visit Cuba?" I'm not suggesting this is a greater issue, but I am suggesting it is a much more controversial limitation.

Freedom is relative in that some of our rights as humans must be taken away in order to ensure that the rights of our society as a whole can make for the greatest amount of freedom that can exist.

For example, Rape is probably a lot of fun, and anybody who'se stronger than somebody else can do it. Therefore it could be considered a right or a freedom or whatnot.
But we have formed these governments, which are spawned of anarchy (Otherwise known as FREEDOM), in order to limit our freedoms in the hopes of a greater peace for all. Because nobody wants to be raped, and they'd rather sacrifice thair freedom of raping in an effort to prevent being the victim of the freedom of rape that another person might take advantage of.

Now that that's cleared up- It is most prudent to say that the other freedom we have sacificed for these purposes is murder.

And that's all there is to it.

Although I am catholic, I do not believe that I should throw my beliefs on non catholics. The choice to have an abortion should be that made by the mother. However those young girls that have baby after baby and abortion after abortion, those are the ones we have to think about. Abortion after the fetus is formed I feel is Murder. But that is something the mother to be should think about.

In my own opinion, no abortion should not be freedom of choice..but then again, I'm a man,so its easy for me to say that.

To have freedom doesn't permit total freedom. We do not have the freedom to go around killing people on the streets, the freedom to rape and kill little children, the freedom to sell drugs...there has to be limits to what freedom allows so that the majority of people can live in relative peace. Thank goodness there are limits...

If you believe abortion is murder, then your question is like asking: Should freedom of choice include murdering people who will interfere with in your life? If not, then do we truly have freedom?
