Do you plan on working while going to school? If so, honestly, I just don't see how you can do it without be so very unfair to the children. When would you possibly spend any time with them. If you are able to take a leave of absence and just do school then I think you could swing it. Good Luck either way.

It is not impossible. However, it will be much easier for you to go back to school and make the grade if you wait until they are all of school age first.

It seems like a long way off now, but it will be longer if you have more kids. My mom waited until her youngest of five was in school to go back and get her college degree. However, since her youngest was born 21 years after her oldest, she graduated at the age of 53, and two of us graduated before she did!

There is no time like the present. I am sure you have heard the term REACH FOR THE STARS now is the time to do this. I waited to long. Yes I took a class here and there but thought I would wait for my son to get a little older. Next thing I knew he was out of school and going away to college himself. I waited to long don't make the same mistake

i am a single parent and i work a full time job. i recently returned to school. when im finished i plan on taking other courses. this course im in now ends in December and the other one will begin in January, that would be phlebotomy. i m also attempting to find a course to become a CPR instructor. this is all very hard to juggle, but i know in the end it will pay off. i say go for it. when my kids were much younger i went to EMT training and fire fighter training. i think that was one of the best decisions i made for my kids and i.

I am not in your league, but I started med school with an infant (two weeks) whose mother died.
If you get in to a med school, then go to friends and family and ask for their help, their investment in you. Although you will not be able to spend much time with your kids for the first two years (the toughest), they will come to realize that you did it for them. Your friends and family will be proud too. If you have the fortitude, then go for it, full speed ahead, take not prisoners, and never give up.
