I mean i know its a genocide (like unmericilly killing?) but is it a war? Between who? i cant find a straight answer anywhere.

I agree that the situation is confusing. In fact, I'm sorry to say that all I could find on the matter is the Wikipedia article, and we all know that it isn't always accurate, but I'll give you the link regardless.

It appears to be, at the core, the government vs. the people. It's not a war, it's definitely a humanitarian crisis and "ethnic cleansing".


I will also point out that we don't hear nearly as much on the issue of Darfur. Why? Because the U.S. would rather focus on the failure that is the War in Iraq, or to give support to Israel.

Good question.
the answer is that we, the people, get fed up hearing things that we cannot do much about. We like to think that we are powerful so we talk about where we are involved. The media give us what we like to hear.

the radical Islamicists attempt to exterminate all Jews in Israel/Palestine. China is killing off the Tibetans and forcing Han chinese language into Tibet to crush them culturally. There are numerous places in jap Africa the place genocide is the rule of thumb.
