Is this about some rumour that he wants to ban religion? Well, he has a right to his opinion, as do we all. But I think there is far too much talk these days of banning things! What are we, living in some neo-Inquisition? No...we need to respect free speech, even if we don't like what others say.

What you are really saying is "lets ban free speech".
Elton John made a comment about wanting to ban organised religion even though he admires the teachings of Jesus.
I agree with his comments about the teachings of Jesus and disagree with his comments concerning banning organised religion. However I respect his right to have his say. What about you?

I think he's great he's just released a nest album arguably his best yet. Also Elton sang Candle in the wind at Prinecess Dianas funeral you can't ban someone after doing something like that for a nation.
