Any will do as long as you take them properly. Even the ones you'll find at a dollar store as just as good as the $10 ones. Just be sure to test after a missed period using your first morning urine.

As long as your'e intelligent enough to tell the difference between one line or two, any test, even the cheap ones work the same. Some are more sensitive, those will specify that they can be used up to 5 days before your period is due, but why jump the gun on that? Just wait until you miss it.
Since hpt's are so cheap to make, you're basically paying for the name when you buy one.
If you want a dummy-proof test, EPT has tests now with electronic read-outs that will say Pregnant or Not Pregnant, so if you can read English, you're good.

Sometimes, if you take a home test very early on, it's hard to distinguish whether or not you see that second line because it's so faint. That's why I like the ones that just say "pregnant/not pregnant". I had a positive test with my last pregnancy that was so faint you could only see it if you held it up to the light. It was as generic as generic can get and I got that line 3 days before my period was even due. Good luck.

They are all the same. In fact my doctor informed me that home pregnancy tests are even just as accurate as urine test at the doc's office.

I like the E.P.T. tests because they seem to be more sensitive, but I've also read that after you're a week or so late for your period then all the tests are about the same.
