I love them, the smell, the power, the sound. You know how women collect handbags and shoes, well I love amplifiers and speakers, I always want to have the top rated one. I've got 10 now, does anyone have similar feelings towards amplifiers/speakers and which ones do you have?

If you're looking for top-rated amps, you're likely thinking McIntosh Labs, they make what I consider the cream of the cream... drive one of those through a set of B&W's... and it's as good as sex for your ears.

Personally... I've only been lucky enough to hear a setup using toys like the above, but I dabble with loudspeakers systems, so it's mostly power amplifiers. I've got a pair of QSC RMX Series, 2450's, a 1450, and a 4050. The rest of my little amps, are nothing to boast about, not that those ones are either.

I am a huge huge audiophile... power, need more power... audio stimulation sooo does it for me. Nothing like cranking up a live version of the Eagles or Sinatra, maybe some Miles Davis & John Coltrane over 7000 watts of drivers, and hearing things you never heard before. Oh, how sweet it is.
