I would go back to your doctor to have tests done, do not allow them to pass you off or put you onto hormonal birth control as this will not sort the problem out, excessive bleeding during menstruation can be down to a lot of things – hormonal imbalance, fibroids, or endometriosis for example – if you are young then it is likely to be a temporary hormonal imbalance, a good idea would be for you to start taking evening primrose oil or black cohosh to regulate your hormones.
Tampons are bad for your vaginal health, when looking at excessive periods these are also inconvenient because they have to be changed more often than the normal four hours – tampons are also reported to increase menstrual flow and menstrual cramps due to their negative effect on the vagina. You would be far better off using a menstrual cup, as well as safer, cheaper and greener menstrual cups are more convenient because they can be worn up to 12 hours without leaking or health risk, these can also be worn at night and before your period is due.
Menstrual cramps and PMS are easily dealt with when you know how, if you look online or through books at your local library you will find a lot of information, it is simply a case of finding what works best for you – simple change to your diet before your period is due would probably help a whole lot with all these problems.

This is not normal and totally treatable. You need to change doctors and get this checked out and treated. It is probably nothing at all serious but needs to be checked out and something done as this is not normal. Change docs ASAP. Also consider using the spell check feature when you post since you are not a super speller. It makes a post much easier to read if you use spell check.

go bac to the doctor and ask to be referred to a specialist.
it could be anything like endometriosis (heavy bleeding, pain irregular cylce) an infection or a hormone imbalance maybe just a very short cycle. there are many things that could cause this and u really need to see someone who can give you the correct diagnosis
they might even recomend you go on the contraceptive pill to regulate and reduce blood flow of ur periods
good luck

Thats definately not normal. I would change doctors, they should be running some tests, doing a pap smear etc. They might be able to regulate it with birth control. Definately go find a new doc tho. Good Luck

First of all, change doctors. Second, ask your NEW doctor if contraceptive pills would help. The Pill often lightens and regulates periods. If you are having that much flow that often there is something that needs to be addresses. It might be as simple as a hormone regulation or it might be more serious. Also ask about endometriosis.

You need to find a new doctor....maybe a female. Then you will probably need to be sent to a gynecologist. There is definately something that is not working properly. Do not leave this any longer, there is no reason you should be going through this.
Good Luck To You :)

You could have some serious problems. You need to get to a good gynocologist. If your doctor did not do anything about this I suggest that you find a new one because you could become very sick just from the iron loss that you are having due to large amounts of blood loss. Please seek a professional.
