1) Be born on Krypton. Okay, you've blown that.
2) Have a laboratory accident of some sort that instead of killing you, gives you amazing abilities. Good luck with that.
3) Receive an incredibly powerful weapon from the Guardians of the Universe and use it to fight crime. Hmm, could be a long wait.
4) Meet up with an ancient wizard who casts a spell that allows you to change into your dynamic alter ego by saying the wizard's name. Umm, moving right along....
5) Be born to rich parents who get killed in a mugging as you walk out of the theater from seeing Zorro. Go bonkers. Swear eternal vengeance on criminals ("a supersitious, cowardly lot"), learn all sorts of martial arts. Dress like a flying rodent and go kick criminal butt.
I think number 5 is your best bet, depending on your folks' income level, life insurance, and willingness to take you to movies in the 'hood at night. It also gets you out of mother's day and father's day cards forever.

There are generally three kinds of superheroes here: police, firefighters, and EMT's. Become one of them. You'll be glad you did.

Volunteer for worthwhile non-profit organizations....or become a firefighter or rescue worker of some sort.

Well you could:
-Get bitten by a superpower spider.
-Inhale some radioactive gas that inables you to have weird powers.
-Find a talking cat who gives you a brooch that lets you be a sailor scout.
-Or be a super hero for Jesus and spread the word of God to everyone. ;)
