For me the term "gay" refers to both male and female gay folk. There are huge numbers of gay people in the work force. Yet representation is another matter....I feel gays are terribly under-represented. Unlike people of color, rarely do you see an employer include "sexual orientation" as a group the company does NOT discriminate against. And there are few laws in place which support the employment of gay people; whereas, people of color have much much more support--in some cases, more than Caucasians. Thank god for the ACLU. It's about the only powerful entity we gays have. Hope this helps answer your question.

Your question doesn`t make much sense since i am not aware of gays and people of colour filling up the unemployment lines. If you mean are there segments of the work force where they are underrepresented...of course.
