this seems to be a popular category for everyone...but maybe Yahoo should make seperate categories for pre-teens; teens; & adults??!!
I'm not meaning offense to anyone...but just kinda sick of having to sift through the Lindsay Lohan/ Paris Hilton opinion polls to get to the questions that are more, ummm....mentally stimulating for us older folks.
Anyone agree?!

Hey! I really wasn't trying to say anything negative about anyone!!!
I just thought it might be more efficient to have more choices...of course, anyone should be allowed to go where they want!
But it'd be easier to go where you want, if there were more specific categories!!

They have a yahoo teens but until yahoo finds a way to direct anyone who is under 18 and admits it there will be kids in the other answer categories. Of course, unless the parents have parental controls blocking the other areas the kids can always lie about their age. It might work better if the first categories you have when you enter yahoo! answers is pre-teens; teens & adults then you could go straight to your section. I'm sure they get sick of the questions us adults ask, too or more in likely the answers we give! :)

no, because maybe theres teens which need adults advice, and their opinion. this is alrite. it only takes a few seconds to sort out the qs ur not interested and find something u want to answer. But it wud take probably hours to change the whole website layout for a few new categories, which dont make a huge difference in the end.
i see why ud say so, though. im nt saying its a bad idea. Im just saying theres no big point, theres pros and cons for this layout and for the other one, and in the end, its just not worth all the work that has to be put in for it. If you know what i mean.

Good point. Excellent idea. While I don't consider myself an Oldie, I don't like the pre-teen & teen comments & questions. But there are some smart alecks who'd probably invade the Adult categories. I like the term you use "mentally stimulating".
How could we make this happen?

That would be nice. At the bottom of the page, there is a link that says let Yahoo know how they are doing. Click on the link, and give them the sugestion.

I don't mind the teens & pre-teens, for me it's more a question of maturity that even some adults don't seem to have.

I agree. I get tired of seeing the same questions: Which actress / actor is better looking? What should I do about my boyfriend / girlfriend? What do you think of my avatar? Am I good looking? I get tired of those questions and it's a waste of time.

That's a good idea, but that doesn't mean that the pre-teens would be willing to stick to their category.

I agree. Then us older folks wouldn't be continually spanked with violations because we offended some youngin.
