Simple Animating/Programming?

I am currently searching for a animating and/or programming software to make flash animations and/or simple games. I am inexperienced and need a cheap program or better yet free. Could someone please lead me in the right direction?

To make flash animations u need flash dreamweaver i think.it is better u check it out urself at the flash website.
or an alternate is go to downloads.com and see what is in store for u.

the only program i know that is best for what you want to do is macromedia flash 8 but it's not exactly cheap. There's a 30 day free trial though
