Depending on the actor their are several way of making this happing some do use a substance such as eyedrops or glycerine or in some cases pepper. But most of the really good actors that I have known that had to accomplish these task have simply connected so deeply with the pain of the charcter and made it their own to the point that when the scene comes in which they need to cry it happens naturally. This I truly believe is the best way because portraying someing like that is not only about the tears but also the proper facial expressions and body laguage and vocal tone. If you ar that deep into character all of these things will com out natuarlly in your performance.

I disagree with this fact - "that new actors shouldn't attempt to cry on cue and very could faux to be retaining lower back tears, and that that's lots extra smart" no rely if to hold lower back emotion is an performing determination it is made by making use of the actor or director and has not something to do with adventure and the potential or lack of ability to cry. Which leads me to: Crying on cue is BS, in my view. As Theatre document reported, crying comes from an emotional reaction no rely what way you look at it. in case you're doing a scene and are related with the fabric and/or your scene significant different and tears start to come again, large! that's a organic reaction to the stimulus and that's what you're shooting for. in the event that they don't, you may not stress it. you will merely look like a undesirable actor attempting to make themselves cry.

A good actor knows what will bring him or her to tears. The think about that when they need to show emotion. Just watch an actor or actress in real life when they find out the have to either pay alimony or are not getting alimony. They cry like babies.

To understand you must bring yourself to a time where you held back tears that needed let out, rediscover what it was and cry those tears that you held back then. If you know how to hold them back stopping on cue should be no problem.

Well, it's called ACTING. Some actors think of things from their own lives (their parent or pet dying) to help bring on the emotion. Others may use imaginary situations. It does take training, you don't turn it on and off like a water faucet.

some use a cut to put a tiny bit of vaceline in the eye. Very gifted and controled performers can do it at will, "Their songs gush from the heart as rain from the clouds of summer or tears from eyelids fall."

The really good actors probably think of something to make them sad...which makes the tears flow. The really bad actors probably have to have lots of visine!!!!!!!!!

Well, sometimes, they have eye drops if they have to come into a scene crying. Other than that, it just takes practice. It takes a long time though. I still can't do it and I've been acting and practicing for years!

Some actors just have that talent and some times glycerine mist is blown into their eyes.

think of something sad, or it helps to act like the character and see how it makes you feel and pretty soon you cry thats how they do it
