With and EPT test, you can test a few days before your missed period...but my suggestion would be to save your money and wait until your period is at least one week late. Also, use your first morning urine. You may want to get a package that has two tests in it that way if the first is negative you can wait another week or so and if you still don't get a period, take the second one. If you get a positive result at any time...it is probably correct. It is very rare to get a false positive. However, it is common to get a false negative. Sometimes your hormone level is just too low to detect and you have to retest a bit later. If all else fail, go to your dotor and have a blood test done.
Good luck!!

A missed period (amenorrhea) in someone who has always had regular periods is often the first sign of pregnancy. It sometimes takes several days beyond the missed period before the home pregnancy test becomes positive, so you may want to repeat it. Your doctor could also do a blood hCG hormone test, which is more reliable and becomes positive about 10 or so days after ovulation.

Two weeks after your ovulation, which is also about the time you're about to get your period, is the best time to take the test.
Good luck!

Depends... some women have the hormone show up earlier than others... to be safe, test the morning of your missed period with the first urine of the day.

To be very accurate you need to wait 14 days past ovulation--or about the time your period is due for a home test.

at least 4 weeks, but it can be detected sooner with a blood test, wait about a week after your period is due then take the test.
