U cant set any picture to a background to not be streched or repeated. Coz all the computer's screen resulotion is not same. So it may look like ok in your computer but not in all.
995 x 587 might help. (I hope u'r computer's screen resulotion is 1024*768) U can try it.

This will help you..go to this site http://www.myspacesupport.com/myspace-generators/ and then go to the link that says profile editor and click on that, then you can stick your picture in the browser part and you can do whatever you want from there, it even lets you design you're own layout..

It depends on the screen resolution...

Right click on your desktop, go to Properties, go to Settings, and you'll see the resolution. Not everyone's is the same though...
