I assume you mean after the flood's been released.

Keep your eyes open as you get into every two-story room. If you are able to proceed on the 2nd floor, that's where you need to be. Look for access to the 2nd floor in the form of burning purple boxes that are partially knocked over.

When you are standing on-top of one of those boxes, you need to look for the LOWEST point on the 2nd floor to jump to. Turn all the way around. If you see a low spot, go for it. If there IS no low spot.. dont worry, you should be able to make it, there's only one with a lowspot that you MUST use.

You need to work your way back to the elevator you came in, and press the button to call it. Once you do, it'll blow up.

Then you're looking for another elevator.. this one will take you down, instead of up.. that's ok.. keep moving, and the next elevator you come to will take you up to the top floor.

Against the Flood, your best two weapons are the shotgun for close range, and pistol for long range. Don't aim for the head.. the head is no longer going to drop the creature.. you need to shoot at about their hip level, or lower chest. The pistol will drop them quickly. The plasma weapons do ok too.. but don't bother overcharging, and expect the flood to get back up a time or two.

When you have a lot of little popping flood running after you, never waste more than a single bullet. Just shoot right in the middle of a group, and when they pop, they'll blow-up their neighbors. If there only a couple of lil' poppers after you, and your shield is in good shape.. just stop and let them pop on you.. it barely does any damage.

There's no need to take-on everything.. if you can get by without killing something.. do it.

As for the maze of rooms itself.. The secret to getting out of ANY maze is to ALWAYS go one direction. For example.. I always turn right, even at a dead end... and any time a right hand passeway opens up, I use it. That will mean you'll get to every door eventually. However, SOMETIMES it means you will end up going in circles without getting to where you need to be. In that case, choose a different option somewhere along the way.. but that's pretty unusual and means you've got rooms in the middle of the map and a circular hallway going all the way aroud it.

Anyways.. best of luck.. I know it took me awhile the first time.. I hated that level.
