Spied upon? The US must maintain a due diligence against all enemies foreign and domestic. We thus must allow law enforcement certain privileges to protect all of us. If you aren't doing anything wrong you have nothing to worry about.

I do not know how much each of us is spied on each day by the government.
Some have been and it is clear the President and others would like to increase the ability to "casually spy" on America citizens without any warrant.
We need to protect our privacy. Why? Because it is our constitutional right. The push to spy on phone calls and e-mail comes now because technological changes make it possible to look at private communications much more easily than before. Also computer analysis of credit and spending records allows an easy way to categorize people into "high risk" groups.
People who believe this is protecting us from terrorism or that such protection is the motivation to strip Americans of their rights, are mistaken.

If you aren't doing anything wrong, don't worry about it! Did you know that the governments terrorist surveillance program has stopped about 60 attacks! That is why we are spied on so much. Would you rather we get hit with another attack like 9/11 or worse? Believe me. The government is not listening to your phone calls. That's not how it works!

How are "they" to determine who is important if "they" do not spy on us all? If you are a law abiding citizen, then you shouldn`t worry about it. People like you frighten me a heck of a lot more that the government spying on me. Persons who give the ones who do not mind the spying, are the ones who have things to hide.

The government is paranoid about the people learning the truth. They have spent billions of dollars and decades installing fear and subservience.
What they don't publicize is the fact that people are pissed, and it is getting very close to them doing something about it.

The Government listens to me up my drainpipes.
My wife and I communicate using chalk and blackboards so that the Government won´t know about our plans for world domination.

You are right. I think its because people are curious by nature. When they want to have a relationship with someone they like to know everything about them.

"We"???
Trust me, Binky, they've got NO interest in you!
And the people in whom they do have interest should make you very happy indeed - 'cause they wish to KILL you and do not intend to stop unless they are themselves killed first.
The sooner everyone gets this into their thick little skulls the easier the job will be for those protecting us.
