Nah. Being Politically Correct is a choice. Freedom of Speech protects your freedom to choose whether to be PC or not. If you are not, you may have to pay the consequences of public opinion. Especially if you hold a position of power.

I think that the days of "PC" are over, largely because they were an affront to our freedom of speech. People got tired of being "taken to task" when voicing their authentic opinions on a host of topics.

Yes, it is an affront to free speech. You have the right to be rude, insulting, and crass. And I have the right to ignore you, but not to silence you unless you cross the line into harrassment.
And, as Winston Churchill said, the right to free speech does not entitle one to the right to be taken seriously.

Annoying!! but not a threat to free speech. Got snapped at when i refered to a Oriental as "that Oriental Girl". quickly and rudely corrected "She is Asian" so okay but how am I to keep up with what folks are calling themselves now???
