Preperation for college is never easy for a highschool student, and thats exactly what ap classes are preping you for. On a scale from one to ten ten being the hardest, honors is a 4 in comparrison to AP which is an 7. Get ready to work hard, but id say try it out because it is an amazing expierence for someone who wants to go to college, and also it looks good on a resume for colleges. Its more studying and harder grading from teachers, but you won't regret it in the long run. That's not to say you won't sometimes feel overwhemlmed and a little regretful while taking the class. But afterwards you'll be happy you took the challenge. and so will your parents because you're bound to do great in college.

If you can handle the honors courses fine, then AP shouldn't be too much of a stretch. Most AP courses have more reading and papers than others, but if you pass the AP test at the end of the year, then you will get college credit for the classes. I would try talking to some upperclassmen that have taken AP courses first before you make your decision.

If you can't get an A+ in the REGULAR course then don't take the AP courses.
