Probably a bit early. Normally a woman gets pregnant half way through her cycle, not at the end of her period. That means if you are on a 28 day cycle you get pregnant 14 days after the first day of your period and you are late for your next period 14 days after that. You can normally test the day you are late but some of the new test you can check up to 5 days before your missed period. If I were you I would wate about 3 more days, test, if its neg test in another week and then after that one more time in a week. If you get all those back neg. you probably arent not pregnant, and you would have probably started your period by then anyway.

It's not days after having sex that matters, it's days after ovulation. If you don't know when you ovulated (you wouldn't unless you were doing OPKs or chart), then the only date you have to go by, assuming you have regular cycles, is the date of your expected period. You can get a positive pregnancy test a few days before an expected period if the baby is producing a lot of hormone, but not all babies do. So it would be more accurate to test a few days after a missed period.

You can take an at home test, but it may turn up with a false answer. Your best solution is to calm down and wait until your next period actually turns up late. If it is late, I'd recommend going to your doctor to get a much more accurate test.

Wait until at least a week before the time for your next period. You can get pregnant at ANY time even on your period.
