I am looking to get them out to do something (doesnt have to be a cruise, but possibly something smiilar) in January, anything in the Boston area for under $300-400. Any ideas?

They have winter dinner cruises. Live band, set menu, unlimited desserts, chocolate fountain.

Actually, I think Norwegian Cruise Lines have a cruise out of New York City. The company provided us with transportation from Providence to the Port Authority in New York. I went on the cruise during a somewhat peak season so it cost me $700 or so.

If that is too expensive, why not get them tickets to a play that is in town and really great seats, followed by a dinner gift certificate.

Cruise ships sail from Boston but not, I believe, in winter months. Many Boston area hotels have weekend room-meals-entertainment package specials, as does Amtrak with similar deals for Acela excursions to New York City.

the odyssey cruise if pretty good but i'm not sure if they operate during Janurary
