Please take a train from Mumbai Central to Vile Parle station. Even if you go by slow train (which stops at every station between Mumbai Central and Vile Parle), it will take a maximum of 30 minutes.
Next take an auto from East side of the Vile Parle station to reach domestic airport. It will take maximum of 20 minutes if you are in rush hours.
This will be the best way to travel to domestic airport from Mumbai central.

I'm guessing you're new to Bombay. So taking a train(which is what most people do) would be the best thing. There are only two ways to get to bombay central. I'll tell you both 1.Take a cab and say Mumbai Central, it will take about an hour and a half depending on the time. With the traffic in Mumbai, you can never say. It should take you about that much time, very early in the morning before the peak hour at 9 starts. 2. You can take a local train from Vile Parle station. The domestic airport is situated in Vile Parle itself. You wold have to take a slow local and that would take you about 30 minutes.
