It depends on how funny it is.

Like, if someone gets a football in the groin, that's a good laugh

Not out of humor. Personally, I'm a really genuine and reflective guy so a lot of empathy keeps me from finding pain funny.

Laughter on the other hand isn't always because something is funny.
Everyone has physical reactions that help them cope emotionally. When something is just too much for you, you might cry, laugh, feel sick, get a headache, or even all of the above at once.
Some reactions can be really weird, but there's a reason for all of it.

Physical reactions carry extra kicks to them, like laughter fills your brain with "feel good" chemicals as well as a lot of oxygen. So a lot of people, like when they're watching "Jack@ss," give into laughter at disturbing or difficult times.

Because it feels good to laugh and society teaches us that laughter is purely for a good time, many people think that they're enjoying something funny when they laugh.

Something you might have experienced is hurting your funny bone. The pain of that area is so intense that your nerves switch to "pleasure" instead of pain.

The brain *is* a switchboard of sorts, so this is typically normal.

People even cry when they're happy.

What the key difference is, is how you truly feel emotionally and mentally, *NOT* physically that can help you understand what it is you're going through, and don't shut yourself off from it because it only makes it worse by increasing the physical laughter, and decreasing your ability to handle it any other way.

That's why people love shock-humor so much; it means they don't ever have to feel *anything* else ever again. Rather like a living death; to die shocked-laughing is to live without the feelings that make you who you are.

I have been known to do it. Sometimes you just can't help it. My mom on the other hand. She'll be the first one to come running to your aid, but she'll be hysterically laughing the whole time. Its a form of release. I noticed that when I get into an arguement, and if it gets intence, sometimes I burst out laughing. I can't control it. Its not that I think anything is funny. I guess thats my form of release, but it sure doesn't help the argument at all.

Depends on the person. If I have a good relationship with them, heck yes, I'll laugh. Falling down can be funny, especially if they're holding stuff. All that crap goes flying, and them I'm giggling with them for 10 minutes while we pick everything up.

Yes, I laugh for hours. It's great to see people fall or trip or walk into a wall.

Most of the time I don't, because I think of how pissed I get when I trip and people laugh at me.

....That being said, the footage of Fidel Castro tripping and falling was one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen.

Occasionally, I usually laugh at the dumb reasons that caused them to do those type of things without looking

Yes I've been known to do that. But I saw this lady who was jogging and she took a major tumble. I ran straight to her to see if she needed help and I wasn't laughing.
