I'm dead serious. I don't understand it. The web design is horrible. The search function sucks. It's a haven for flamers and scary predators. Why not just go with a powerful blog designer? Is it simply because teenagers like to fit in with their peers (so and so has a MySpace page, so I better get one)?

Someone explain to me why you like it so much, and why you haven't tried something else?

its called "whats hot now". years ago it was hip and cool for all the kids to be on AOL and have a personal page there.....then they got bored with AOL cause adults came on there.....so they found a tiny sight called MySpace and turned it into their own little world. give it another year or so and some new sight will be the rage as the next generation of kids won't want what the generation before them had as it will be "uncool".

I myself think its stupid, I agree its weak designing, takes forever to load, rarely works, its all little kids who lie about their age, etc.

Personally I am ashamed that this many parents don't realize what it is let alone allow their small kids on the internet in the first place.

Driving a car one must be 18, to buy alcohol one must be 21....to me...you should be no less than 16 to be on the internet.

It's just something "cool" to most teens and college students. And I agree with you, most aspects of Myspace suck. The only thing it's good for is keeping in touch with people, but even that you could do by email (myspace isn't that much faster than email), IM, phone, writing, and other things. Otherwise, it's an overrated website with a horrible server.

it gives people something to do, while they can keep up with friends from long ago. i personally use it to see what my friends from high school are up to. there are also local bands that i like that post when their next concerts are, which is awesome because then i'm not out of the loop.

as far as the wide-reaching appeal of MySpace? it just has to do with inclusion. if everyone has one, people feel they need one too. everyone is on myspace. i use facebook too, for my college friends, but don't like the other web sites because there is hardly anyone i know on there.

I have been given badgered into it. I refused to connect fb for an prolonged time, yet then I saved lacking the invites to events. yet all that occurs is you get consistent unsolicited mail inviting you to do some stupid interest. it is likewise a secure practices probability. Ie placed up too many info and somebody could desire to apply those to rip-off you. Ie call and birthdate? I partly was hoping i could desire to message a pal of a pal sooner or later, yet those ideas on no account paintings do they? LOL. whilst i'm wealthy and married, then i will disappear LOL.

I have found that it is the most popular so there are more of my friends on it that i have not seen in ages that i can still communicate with. Alot of other places are missing some of my friends that i chat with and have known for years.
