I know like me..many of you love using chapstick. Most of the time if you apply it multiple times then it dries out your lips. I've heard that there is a ingredient that is in it that makes you addicted to it. It that true? And if it is then what is it?

Poeple spend like 3 or 4 dollars on chapstick but the cheep ones work better

I am addicted to chapstick!!! Yes, it actually is true and after a while it does dry out your lips. But being addicted to it isnt a bad thing and its not unhealthy,

No you can't get addicted to chapstick and it won't dry out your lips. Carmex will dry out your lips because it is meant for cold sores.

It is not addictive but, it contains alcohol which dries out your lips. Find another one that does not contain alcohol for chapped lips. Bert's Bees is really good

Not true.
What dries them out is licking the chapstick off---so NEVER use flavored balms!
Consider using carmex instead--you won't want to lick it because it doesn't taste good.

I don't believe you can get addicted, but I like Vaseline Intensive Care lip stuff much better.

no thats nonsense stay away from any lipgloss or chapstick where the first ingrediant is alcohol!

i think that it isnt in chap stick its just that your lips are used to the feeling so much that when they get dry they bug you a lot!!! well aleast thats what i think!!!

NINA I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF GETTING ADDICTED TO CHAP-STICK, I USE IT EVERY DAY.
